Completed Projects
Alternative Fuel Incentive Project Awarded ten projects totaling $98,000 between Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 to sites ranging from Universities and Community Colleges to government fleets and public service stations for a diverse group of projects that included biomass, electric vehicles and charging stations, and compressed natural gas.
Alternative Fuel Vehicle Garage A demonstration facility adjacent to the Solar House at NC State University’s McKimmon Center for alternative fuels such as biodiesel, ethanol, compressed natural gas, electric, hybrid, and hydrogen vehicles.
Current Projects
Soy Biodiesel Marketing and Research in North Carolina A multi-year project with the NC Soybean Producers Association to promote the use of biodiesel and bioheat as renewable and cleaner fuels for our vehicles and homes and evaluate the most effective marketing strategies for these products.
Truck Original Equipment Manufacturer / Mobile Idle Reduction Technology Prep Kit Design and Installation Project working with a truck original equipment manufacturer (Truck OEM) to develop and test the effectiveness of Truck OEM designed mobile idle reduction technology (MIRT) prep kits.
