In North Carolina, this initative is coordinated by Advanced Energy, in cooperation with Progress Energy and the City of Raleigh.
The Electrifying Transportation Conference held on May 27th, 2009 at the NCSU McKimmon Center was used as a launching point for public involvement in building up North Carolina's infrastructure for and general acceptance of electric transportation. Presentations from the event can be found here: www.engr.ncsu.edu/ncsc/transportation/events.htm.
